Make Your Own Pots

Pots, pots, pots - they’re everywhere in the archaeological record. But how were they made? If you’ve ever fancied yourself a potter then this is the event for you.

Amphora

Learn about the manufacturing process and turn your hand to throwing on the wheel. Make your very own amphora (or egg cup)!

Date & time: Monday 17th, two sessions either 9.00am - 1.00pm or 2.00pm - 6.00pm
Audience: Priority given to students studying Classical Archaeology options

Additional information: This event will be filmed, if you do not wish to be filmed please let the team filming know on the day.
Accessibility: Students in wheelchairs will find it difficult to control a wheel but adjustments can be made for anyone else.
Location: Cyan Clayworks, 27 Beaverhall Road, Edinburgh, EH7 4JE
Meeting point: Meet at Cyan Clayworks 10 mins before scheduled start time.
