Professor Declan Kiberd will join us for a stimulating talk on the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising about the State of Irish studies, past, present and future.  This talk will be followed by a small drinks reception in the McMillan room on the first floor, William Robertson Wing, Old Medical School.

Professor Declan Kiberd is the Keogh Professor of Irish Studies and Professor of English and Irish Literature and Language at the University of Notre Dame, a leading international authority on the literature of Ireland, both in English and Irish.
