Professor the Lord Peter Hennessy, one of the leading public intellectuals in Britain, will speak on Britain's place in the world in historical context.

About the speaker
Professor the Lord Hennessy (the Attlee Professor of Contemporary British History at Queen Mary University of London) has worked as a Journalist at The Times, The Financial Times, The Economist and for the BBC before moving sideways into academia, co-founding the Institute for Contemporary British History in 1986. He has written extensively on British politics, the cold war and contemporary history.
