UK/USA Special Intelligence Relationship
Emeritus Professor of History, Rhodri Jeffreys-Jones, will lecture on: 'The British-American Special Intelligence Relationship: Rise, Fall, and Scottish Dimensions', 20 November 2013.
The event will take place 5pm, Teviot Lecture Theatre, Old Medical School, Teviot Place, Edinburgh.
"In spies we trust"
The talk will be based on Professor Jeffreys-Jones's recent book, ‘In Spies We Trust: The Story of Western Intelligence’ (Oxford University Press, 2013).
A Leverhulme emeritus fellowship enabled research for the book and encouraged wider dissemination of Jeffreys-Jones’s findings, through an Oxford University Press blog, ‘The case for a European intelligence service with full British participation’ and an e-International Relations essay, A Critique of the Surveillance Flap’.
