These public lectures, taking place in New York, will examine the Scottish soldiers returning from the USA to fight for their country in the First World War.

Yvonne McEwen, School of History, Classics and Archaeology, is leading a conference in the New York Public Library on Tuesday 10th April 2012.

The public lectures focus on the hundreds of Scottish men who had emigrated to the USA who then returned to fight at the outbreak of the First World War.

A workshop follows the public lectures.
