Gaming Classics: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Set in the years of the Peloponnesian war the eleventh instalment of the game series Assassin’s Creed transfers the player to the world of Classics. The game developers make claims of accuracy in the detail of representation. We will test such claims (and have fun) together with the main character, Misthios, who is making her way to classical Athens and discusses with Socrates while trying to bring together her fractured family and stop an ancient and much dangerous cult.

Dr Mirko Canevaro, Dr Matteo ZaccariniDr David Lewis and Dr Foteini Spingou from the School of History, Classics and Archaeology will be taking part. Free event, all welcome!
