Film Screening and Discussion Group: 'If...'

After previous explorations of Polish and Czech cinema, the Centre for the Study of Modern and Contemporary History will, this year, focus on culture, class and mental health in Britain. The first of two screenings will be of  'If...' (1968), a film that sees the anarchic, surreal and increasingly violent spirit of 1968 burst apart the hierarchies and traditions of an English public school. The film will be introduced by PhD student and CSMCH steering committee member Calum Aikman.

Both screenings are free and open to all. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
