Building guide

Access to the School's building and its layout.

Access to the School of History, Classics and Archaeology is currently restricted because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Restricted access to the building

In Semester 1 2020/21 all HCA group teaching will take place elsewhere on campus in rooms which accommodate physical distancing relative to the size of class. In the first instance, you will most likely only need to access our building for a pre-booked appointment, with either the student support office or with an academic contact, and this will most likely have been pre-arranged by email or phone.

Physical distancing measures in the School

If you do need to come to our building for an appointment you will find us in the William Robertson Wing of the Old Medical School. The School is located in the William Robertson Wing of the Old Medical School on Teviot place. Entrance is through the arch on Teviot Place; the School entrance is Doorway 4 at the south-west corner of the quadrangle. A number of adaptations have been made to our building to ensure our students and staff are safe while physical distancing measures are in place. This includes a one way system.
