This fascinating new series is being aired from the 30th of May at 8pm, and a new episode will be aired weekly at the same time (on a Monday at 8pm) for three weeks following that episode.

The series examines depression in Japan, adolescent mental health in Sweden, voice-hearing in the UK and healing in Ghana.  Dr Harding is writing and presenting the episodes which are rooted in his research on culture and mental health/illness.

It will be available on iPlayer after each episode has been aired.  An extra episode to be added when the series goes out on the World Service from August, will be a roundtable discussion based on the issues raised in the series.

Dr Harding was one of the BBC’s New Generation Thinkers in 2013 and writes a popular blog – ‘The Boredom Project’.  He has been one of HCA's Impact Champions for the academic year 2014-15 in acknowledgement of his work with a variety of external non-academic agencies.
