School awards for MSc/PhD entry in 2014

The School is pleased to invite applications from outstanding candidates for Doctoral (PhD) and Master’s (MSc) Scholarships (2014-2015 entry).

If you hold a UK first class honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field, you could be eligible* to compete for a PhD studentship worth £15,000 per annum or MSc studentship worth up to £7,000 per annum.

*You must submit your application for study via the University’s application system before you apply.

Doctoral teaching

As one of the intentions of the Doctoral awards is to enhance the skills portfolio of successful candidates, awardees will undertake specified tutorial teaching as well as associated preparation and marking as an integral part of their scholarship package.

Application deadlines

The funding application deadlines are:

• 3 February 2014 for PhD ‘Doctoral Teaching’ awards
• 3 March 2014 for MSc awards.
