Young Scholar's success

A third year History PhD student has been selected to take part in competitive forum aimed at enhancing international communication in Chinese studies. (Published 14 April 2016)

PhD student Jing Zhu has been selected to take part in the third Young Scholar's Forum at the Institute for Chinese Studies, Chinese University of Hong Kong, in May.

Jing is the only UK-based student to be chosen for this - all expenses are covered by the organisers.  She will present a paper entitled 'Imperial Images? Rethinking the Miao albums of Yunnan and Guizhou'.

This is a unique opportunity for Jing to engage with young scholars of late-imperial China from around the world.  Her selection is richly deserved, and testament to her innovative research and hard work over the past two years.
