Distinguished Visiting Scholars Awards

The School of History, Classics and Archaeology is delighted to announce that two members of staff are set to become visiting scholars at Monash University. (Published 1 February 2016)

Dr Cordelia Beattie and Professor Donald Bloxham will both be Distinguished Visiting Scholars at Monash University in summer 2016.

Dr Beattie, Senior Lecturer in Medieval History, will be based in the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and will be giving a masterclass for medieval-renaissance postgraduates, as well as papers to staff and students in the Centre and the Department of History.

Professor Bloxham, Richard Pares Professor of European History, will be based in History where his activities will include a public lecture on genocide to be hosted by the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation (ACJC) and the keynote address to the “Aftermath” conference on the theme of the punishment of Holocaust perpetrators in the trials of the immediate postwar period.
