Senior Hume Brown Prize in Scottish History
Applications are invited for this prestigious prize, the current value of which is £4,500. The award is made for the best first book on any aspect of Scottish History published in the years 2014 or 2015. (Published 11 February 2016)
Entry requirements
- Any graduate of any Scottish University is eligible.
- Submissions should be made by individual authors, enclosing two copies of their book. Books will be returned to their authors at the end of the competition.
Judging panel
The judging panel consists of the Chairs of Scottish History at the Universities of Edinburgh (Professor Ewen Cameron) and Glasgow (Professor Dauvit Broun).
The panel reserves the right to consider books not entered by their author.
Submission
Two copies of each book should be sent to Ms Clare Guymer, Scottish History Secretary.
Deadline
The closing date for applications is 30th May 2016.
