We appreciate that our incoming students are likely to have questions - these pages have been created to try to answer as many of these as possible. If they don't, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly and knowledgeable professional services staff in the Graduate School Office and we will be happy to help you resolve your queries.
Welcome Week 2017 (Now includes slides from that week)
Thank you for choosing to study in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh. Our academic and administrative staff look forward to welcoming you to our academic community in the heart of beautiful, historic Edinburgh.
Choose your courses (taught programmes)
You can find out what courses are available now using our online tool, Path. You must meet with your Personal Tutor in Welcome Week to choose your courses.
Meet your supervisor (research programmes)
Your primary supervisor is your main point of contact for academic guidance and pastoral matters. You should make an appointment to meet your supervisor during Welcome Week.
What to do now
There are plenty activities to keep you busy between now and Welcome Week. Download our Getting Started guide, visit the New Students website or plan out your social activities.
Make the most of Information and Library Services
Our Information Services website will help you get started with email, printing and University software. Come along to ‘Making the most of IT’ and 'Library Services' to get up to speed with computing and library services or join our library tour.
You will find us in the William Robertson Wing of the Old Medical School. Our Graduate School Office is your first point of contact if you have any questions about your programme of study and will provide support and guidance throughout the year.
