On 28 March the School, along with 16 other ‘office’ teams, was awarded a 2018 Sustainability Award from the Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability.

Office Awards recipients fulfilled a range of social responsibility and sustainability criteria focusing on communications and engagement, energy saving, sustainable travel, resource efficiency, responsible purchasing and staff wellbeing.

Adam Collier, HCA Resources Assistant and an energy co-ordinator, active travel champion and waste and recycling coordinator for the School, collected the Award.

‘The award is an important achievement for HCA’, said Adam, ‘as is shows our commitment as a school to help play a part in the University becoming more socially responsible and sustainable.’

Congratulations to everyone in the School who has worked to win this Award!
