At a recent induction session the School welcomed its first Student Ambassadors. Drawn from all three subject areas, they will take part in events such as Open Days, meet visitors to the School and lead tours of the William Robertson Wing. And, of course, answering that most frequently asked of frequently asked questions, ‘What’s it really like being a student here?’

Francesca Morphakis, Senior Student Ambassador said, ‘I hope we can share what an amazing place Edinburgh is to study in with prospective and current students. The University has an outstanding reputation, but more than anything the degree programmes are flexible, brilliantly taught by experts and constructed to help you develop intellectually and rigorous arguments. And you have an extra year studying the subject you love!’

‘As city, Edinburgh is beautiful - compact but vibrant and well-connected. It’s a fantastic place to live and you’ll certainly never be bored here.’

Dr Guillaume Robin, Deputy Undergraduate Director, said, ‘We’re very much looking forward to working with the School’s Students Ambassadors. Several of them have already volunteered their skills and enthusiasm in the past to welcome prospective students and their families to the University of Edinburgh and I’m sure being able to share their thoughts and advice with a wider audience will attract even more students to study here.’
