Dr Miranda Anderson, AHRC Research Fellow, Centre for Medieval & Renaissance Studies: Lecture ‘Mind in Literature: Enacting Aristotle’ at the conference, ‘Fiction, Cognition and Interpretation: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Aristotle's Poetics’ at University of Navarra, Pamplona.
Professor Enda Delaney, Professor of Modern History and School Director of Research: Paper 'Out of Time: Ireland and Modernity' at the symposium ‘Irish Time: Temporalities in Irish Literature and Culture’, Trinity College Dublin
Professor Louise Jackson, Professor of Modern Social History: Consultant on a contract research project for Her Majesty's Prisons and Probation Service, to undertake a review of the infrastructure of child protection within the juvenile secure estate between 1960 and 2016. The research team includes Dr Lucy Delap (Cambridge), Professor Loraine Gelsthorpe (Cambridge), and Dr Caroline Lanskey (Cambridge). The review is intended to inform the response made by HM Prisons and Probation Service to the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, to enhance HMPPS’s own institutional memory, and to suggest avenues for improved practice of child safeguarding.
