British Academy award for Honorary Fellow

The School was delighted to hear that Honorary Fellow Dr Alison Sheridan has been awarded the 2018 Grahame Clark Medal from the British Academy. (Published 20 August, 2018)

Leverhulme successes for staff

Dr Manuel Fernández-Götz new editor of Cambridge University Press monograph series

The School of History, Classics and Archaeology is delighted to announce that Dr Manuel Fernández-Götz has been confirmed as co-editor of a new Cambridge University Press monograph series called ‘Elements: The Archaeology of Europe’. (Published 4 July, 2018)

Research in the Požega Valley (Croatia)

Dr Manuel Fernández-Götz co-directs excavations and surveys at the Iron Age site of Kaptol and its surroundings. (Published 26 July, 2018)

Dead Images: Facing the history, ethics and politics of European skull collections

A new exhibition and series of events, as part of the 2018 Edinburgh Art Festival, look at the legacy of collections of human skulls held in public institutions. (Published 22 June, 2018)
