Dr Elaine Sanderson
BA, MA, PhD
Teaching Fellow in Latin
Before coming to Edinburgh, I studied for my BA (Hons.) (2015) and MA (2016) degrees at the University of Exeter and completed a PhD (2020) at the University of Liverpool with the generous support of the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council (North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership).
I held temporary posts at Liverpool as a Lecturer in Classical Literature and Roman History/Culture and a University Teacher in Classics and Ancient History, and taught Latin and Ancient Greek to GCSE-level to local state school students as part of the Liverpool Schools Classics Project.
On the rare occasion that I'm not thinking about Classics, I enjoy listening to music, playing in orchestras and chamber ensembles, drawing, and playing polo.
Honorary Research Fellow, Department of Archaeology, Classics, and Egyptology, University of Liverpool
