College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Research Awards

The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Research Award Scheme is designed to attract high quality students applying for PhD research.

Candidates for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Research Award must be seeking to start their first year of full-time or part-time PhD study in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences within the academic year 2022-2023.  MSc by Research programmes are not eligible.

The award normally covers UK / EU tuition fees and provides a stipend of around £15,000. Subject to satisfactory progress, the funding is awarded for three years.

You must also have submitted your PhD application by (23:59 GMT), Monday 22 November 2021 - we must receive your PhD application by this date in order to consider your application for this funding opportunity.
