Who is this programme for?
Find out the background that will be most suitable for students taking this programme.
The programme is suitable for nurses who are registered in any branch of the profession to practice in their own country and who want to critically examine the ways that evidence-based research, theory and knowledge can advance nursing in the global context. The programme is suitable for people in various stages of their careers: for nurses who want to study immediately following their undergraduate degree and others who want to return to study at a much more senior stage. Our programme is designed to be relevant to all nurses, regardless of the age and stage. We welcome nurses from the UK and internationally and one of the strengths of our programme is inter-cultural learning. The degree also provides an excellent foundation for postgraduate research e.g. a doctoral degree, or to advance their professional career.
‘My time of the MSc programme was undoubtedly one of my most challenging and rewarding experiences. Not only did it improve my nursing knowledge, skills and expertise, but the achievement of the MSc was key to my career development and my recent promotion to charge nurse. It also allowed me to renew old friendships and establish new ones – an overwhelmingly worthwhile pursuit’
