Nursing student wins postgraduate community prize
Nursing student wins postgraduate community prize for the University of Edinburgh
Congratulations to our student Andrea Taylor who has been awarded the postgraduate community prize, which is supported by the Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS). Andrea, who is studying for the MSc Advanced Clinical Skills, shared her unique community perspective with fellow students on the online discussion board of the Person Centred Care course.
Her final assignment was superb and it is currently being considered for publication in the prestigious British Journal of Midwifery.
She achieved the highest mark in her class and gained the full respect of hospital based students by challenging perceptions and highlighting the key role and some of the challenges a community midwife face whilst supporting women centred care.
