The aims of the PhD/MSc by Research in Clinical Psychology programme are:

To carry out a substantial piece of research in a clinical or health psychology related area.
To develop the student's written communication skills.
To develop quantitative or qualitative analytic skills, as appropriate to the research project.
To develop critical appraisal skills through review of previous and own research work.
