This project-in-development aims to explore a) the expectations of international students who train as counsellors in the UK with regards to their counselling-related careers upon qualification and b) their actual experiences of working in counselling-related roles upon returning ‘home’. Arts-informed and/or reflexive writing methodologies will be endorsed to facilitate students to move beyond rehearsed narratives.
