School of Health in Social Science

Charlotte Clarke

Currently, I am Professor of Health in Social Science & College Dean International.

I was Head of School from 2011 - 2018. I am Co-Director of the Centre for Dementia Prevention and am a member of the Edinburgh Centre for Research on the Experience of Dementia.

I started my working life as a nurse with older people and found I had more questions about how to care for people than there were answers available – and so commenced a research journey of some 40+ external research awards and the opportunity to work with some wonderful people!
