Vulnerable Groups

We have a range of studies focusing on supporting highly vulnerable children in our society. Studies include those focusing on looked after and accommodated children, including children in foster and kin care; and children with developmental disabilities (e.g. autism spectrum disorder).

Autism and Social Media

This research investigates autistic children and adolescent's use of social media and whether it is related to mental health and wellbeing.

Become a Financial Whizzkid! The Psychology and Science of Money

This is a collaborative project between the Centre for Applied Developmental Psychology and the Business School, and was delivered as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science.

Financial Education for Care Leavers

This is a collaborative project between the Centre for Applied Developmental Psychology and the Business School. We have consulted with professionals in the field and experts-by-experience to produce a set of recommendations for improving the financial outcomes of care leavers.
