Our first workshop of 2019 examined three key aspects of children's relationships with pets: (1) Children's attachment to different kinds of animal, (2) Bereavement and loss of a pet, and (3) Sourcing pets & the consequences of the illegal puppy trade. We highlighted findings from both qualitative and quantitative research with children, as well as people who have purchased dogs to be family pets.

I feel more informed and aware of the work of different agencies and policies that are currently under consultation.
It really added to my knowledge about human-animal relationships, bereavement and loss.
