School of Health in Social Science

Workshop 4

The final of our first series of workshops funded by the ESRC focused on the development of interventions for different populations, including children and adolescents in mainstream education, as well as those who are more vulnerable, having a history of animal cruelty or mental health problems. The workshop focused on three projects carried out by members of caar: the development of a new animal welfare intervention called 'Rabbit Rescuers', recent research on animal cruelty in juvenile offenders, and animal-assisted interventions for people with schizophrenia.
