Workshop 3
Workshop 3 focused on our findings relating to cruelty towards animals among children and young people. We highlighted how cruelty and neglect can be unintentional (due to lack of knowledge and/or sense of responsibility), or intentional (often linked to difficult experiences in a child's life). The workshop covered the range of risk factors associated with intentional animal cruelty and introduced participants to a new programme developed in collaboration with the Scottish SPCA called 'Animal Guardians'.
