Workshop 2

The second workshop in our series focused on our findings relating to children's emotional attachments to pets. We subsequently reflected on the implications for vulnerable children/adolescents, using the theme of transitions as the lens through which to examine vulnerability. We finished by considering two particularly vulnerable groups of children/adolescents: looked after/accommodated children (LAAC), and those with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Some feedback from participants, 20th April 2018

It has been a very useful reflection on the complexity of child-animal interactions

I'll be discussing pets more with children in my [social work] practice

I expected it to be great, but it was even better! I loved the mix of listening and then discussing, really well set up! Looking forward to the next one!
