CoDHcast – BAME in Academia with Prof Aisha Holloway

The latest Council of Deans of Health podcast features our Head of Nursing Studies Professor Aisha Holloway discussing race and identity in academia, healthcare and society.

The Council of Deans of Health is running a series of CoDHcasts on Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups in academia and health. The series involves speaking to academics and researchers from our membership, as well as interviewing some of the #150Leaders from the Student Leadership Programme to gain a student perspective.

Professor Aisha Holloway, Head of Nursing Studies at the University of Edinburgh and Programme Lead: Research and Evidence for Effective Practice of the Global Nursing Now Campaign, reflects on her own academic career and discusses the influence and complexity of identity. Aisha reflects on the power of the Black Lives Matter movement and considers the opportunities and challenges for our own sector.
