Congratulations to Dr Amy Chandler a joint winner of the 2017 British Sociological Association Philip Abrams Memorial Prize.

Huge congratulations to Dr Amy Chandler, Chancellor's Fellow in Health, through Arts, Design and Humanities . 

Dr Chandler's book, Self-Injury, Medicine and Society (published last year by Palgrave Macmillan) is a joint winner of the  2017 British Sociological Association Philip Abrams Memorial Prize . 

This is an award for the best, sole authored first book in sociology.  Congratulations!
