Hope Park Counselling Centre

How can we help?

Counselling offers time to work through personal issues or difficulties which are causing distress.

Your concerns could be around:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • loss
  • work issues
  • abuse
  • relationship difficulties

We provide a respectful, confidential and supportive space to explore thoughts and feelings about yourself and your relationships.

Who are the counsellors?

We are primarily staffed by counsellors in training who are studying at the University of Edinburgh on the post graduate Counselling and Psychotherapy Masters Programme. They come from a range of different cultural backgrounds. We also have qualified counsellors working with us. Counsellors work in English although we are sometimes able to offer counselling in other languages.

What will it cost?

We ask for a donation for your initial appointment and for each weekly counselling session, of between £2 - £30. Ability to pay does not affect your access to counselling.

Complaints and Feedback

If difficulties arise in the relationship with your counsellor or with Hope Park Counselling Centre, we encourage you to discuss these with your counsellor in the first instance.

Emergency help and telephone support

Hope Park Counselling Centre offers counselling by appointment and counsellors are not normally available at other times.
