School of Health in Social Science

School Community

Find out more about our School community including student funding and our community event initiatives.

During the current academic year 2020/21 when access to the campus is limited, our activities focused on building academic community will take place in digital spaces.  Alongside the ongoing work of the student reps, staff are working to ensure that you have the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging to your programme of study and to the School and University.

Many opportunities for engagement are created through how we organise our teaching online, providing the opportunity for you to work in small groups or engage in discussion through discussion boards. By engaging with the opportunities presented you will develop a sense of belonging to a community of students as well as make friends.

Look out for information about University, School and Students' Association events, seminars and social activities. These will be advertised on our websites and social media channels.

Student Representation

Students are encouraged to participate in the learning and teaching and quality process.

Let's Gather!
