Staff mobility
Due to the UK's departure from the EU, we no longer have access to Erasmus+ funding to support international staff mobility.
Funding for staff mobility
The UK's replacement international programme, the Turing Scheme, unfortunately does not currently offer any funding to support staff mobility. We do not have any alternative central source of funding available to support training and development opportunities abroad.
Funding to support such activities should instead be sought from your College/School/Professional Service budget.
If and when this situation changes, we will provide information on these pages.
The following links provide some information about staff mobility programmes and possible alternative sources of funding:
- Una Europa - Live My Life programme
- Fulbright scholar awards
- European staff weeks
- University of Edinburgh staff scholarships schemes

We celebrated Europe Day 2023 by marking the impact of over 35 years of our involvement in the Erasmus+ programme. This is highlighted through stories from past student and staff participants, as we recognise the ongoing opportunities, activities and partnerships for which it has been the foundation.
