Study and Work Away Service

Before you go

Read through the relevant pre-departure information to help you prepare for your placement.

Before you go abroad it is important to ensure you plan each aspect of your time away and think well in advance about funding, accommodation and visas.

The task that often takes the most time is obtaining a visa, so you should find out the process for your host country and apply as soon as you have obtained approval from your School for your placement.
