The University has a wide variety of accommodation largely within walking distance of the main University area in the city centre.

UK visa requirements

A visa is a certificate (sometimes referred to as ‘Entry Clearance’) which gives you permission to enter the UK.

Academic Support

A range of academic support is available from the College Visiting Student Offices and your Personal Tutor.

International student support

Student and welfare support is offered by one of the teams in Edinburgh Global - the International Student Advisory Service.

Health and wellbeing

The University encourages students to look after their health.

Finance and Funding

The University of Edinburgh is not currently offering scholarships for the Study Abroad or Exchange programmes. However you may like to consider funding opportunities from outside organisations.

Edinburgh is generally considered a safe city, but as in any city environment, students are always advised to be aware of their personal safety.
