Erasmus+ funding is available for academic staff to undertake short teaching visits to partner institutions in Europe and beyond.
Teaching visits must include a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week (or part of week if the visit is shorter). Combined teaching and training visits are also possible - in this case the minimum teaching load is reduced to 4 hours per week or part of week.
The visit to Venice was great and it gave rise to a research collaboration!
Staff can apply for a funded place to teach abroad at any non-UK European university with which we have a valid Erasmus bilateral agreement.
If you would like to teach at an institution with which we have no existing agreement, we can set up a new staff teaching agreement. This should be done via the Study and Work Away Office at least one month in advance of any planned outward visit. Once an agreement with the partner institution has been established, you can apply for Erasmus+ funding for a teaching visit.
Please email email@example.com to begin the process.
We have teaching mobility agreements with a number of institutions outside Europe as part of our Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme.
If you are interested in undertaking a teaching visit to any of these partners, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that it is not possible to set up agreements with new partners outside Europe – our international partners are fixed for the year.
I just completed the week in Munich and it has been great, with a high attendance to my lectures and a very fruitful exchange with staff and students.
