A step-by-step guide through everything you need to know before you go.
1. Research the options
The first step is to find out about the programme, where you can go, and how it works. The following links should help you do this.
2. Consider the purpose of your activity
OK, so you're interested - you know where you want to go and how to apply. But what exactly do you want to get out of the experience?
You should be clear about what you want your teaching or training visit to involve and the purpose of the visit, so make sure you have considered your aims and your personal and professional development needs. You may need to be flexible, but it's good to have a plan to help you and your host make the most of the visit.
3. Apply for Erasmus+ funding to support your visit
Download the application form via the following link, and submit to email@example.com. All applications will be approved via email with further information about next steps.
4. Complete pre-departure documents
Once your funding has been approved, you must submit all Erasmus+ pre-departure documents:
- grant application
- teaching/training mobility agreement
- travel receipts
and ensure you have the documents required after your return. On receiving your pre-departure documents, your Travel Grant will be paid. Your Subsistence Grant will be paid at the end of your visit on receipt of your final documents. We ask that pre-departure documents be completed one month in advance of your travel.
5. Ensure all practical arrangements are in place
Book your travel, accommodation, insurance, visas, etc
6. Go Abroad!
Enjoy! Teach! Learn!
7. Return final documents
During the week after your visit, you should return your Certificate of Attendance (signed by host) and complete your online feedback report.
Don't forget to take time after your visit to consider what you learned and how you can use it.
If you enjoyed your experience, please share it and help us promote the opportunity to others!
