1. Research the options

2. Consider the purpose of your activity

OK, so you're interested - you know where you want to go and how to apply.  But what exactly do you want to get out of the experience?  

You should be clear about what you want your teaching or training visit to involve and the purpose of the visit, so make sure you have considered your aims and your personal and professional development needs.  You may need to be flexible, but it's good to have a plan to help you and your host make the most of the visit.

3. Apply for Erasmus+ funding to support your visit

4. Complete pre-departure documents

Once your funding has been approved, you must submit all Erasmus+ pre-departure documents:

  • grant application
  • teaching/training mobility agreement
  • travel receipts

and ensure you have the documents required after your return.  On receiving your pre-departure documents, your Travel Grant will be paid.  Your Subsistence Grant will be paid at the end of your visit on receipt of your final documents.   We ask that pre-departure documents be completed one month in advance of your travel.

5. Ensure all practical arrangements are in place

6. Go Abroad!

7. Return final documents 

During the week after your visit, you should return your Certificate of Attendance (signed by host) and complete your online feedback report.

8. Reflect

Don't forget to take time after your visit to consider what you learned and how you can use it.
