Rights, responsibilities and restrictions
Your Tier 4 visa imposes a number of rights, responsibilities and restrictions on you and on the University, as your sponsor.

Changes to your studies
Certain changes to your studies, such as changes to the length or level of your programme, resits and repeats, and breaks from study can affect your Tier 4 visa.
Your Tier 4 or short term student visa will have an end date. You have legal permission to stay in the UK until that date. You must arrange to leave the UK, or make an application to extend your stay, before your visa expires.
If you want to travel to continental Europe during your studies, you may need to apply for a Schengen visa.
