You could go on a short term international experience, or find out what it's like to live and work in another country. You can spend your summer abroad by working abroad through an Erasmus+ Traineeship, or through conferences, research trips, volunteering and more with the Go Abroad Fund.
SLICCs at the University of Edinburgh
Student-Led, Individually-Created Courses (SLICCs) offers first and second year undergraduate students the opportunity to earn 20 academic credits for involvement in a professional development, internship, work experience or research project experience of their choosing during their summer vacation. SLICCs offer students a reflective framework to develop their own set of personal and professional skills and attributes through this experience.
