All pre-departure documents are downloadable from your Mobility-Online workflow.
The risk assessment process will depend on whether you are doing an Erasmus or International Exchange programme.
You will be able to download the risk assessment once you have indicated, within your Mobility-Online workflow, that you would like to take out the University of Edinburgh insurance.
The risk assessment will be available to download directly from your workflow. Once you receive your Risk Assessment template you must complete it and upload it to your workflow. Full instructions are provided to help you complete this document.
You receive the risk assessment template via email once you have indicated, within your Mobility-Online workflow, that you would like to take out the University of Edinburgh insurance.
These emails are sent out in batches each week. Once you receive your Risk Assessment template you must complete it and upload it to your workflow. Full instructions are provided to help you complete this document.
In order to qualify for the University’s insurance you must complete a risk assessment before departure and upload it on your Mobility Online workflow.
Edinburgh Global will provide you with detailed guidelines about how to complete your risk assessment.
DELC students will receive a risk assessment from DELC and should upload this version to their Mobility Online workflow.
Before departure from Edinburgh, you will be required to complete and submit a Learning Agreement outlining your intended programme of study for the forthcoming year or semester. This will involve some research on your part into the courses on offer at your host university. Most institutions list their course offerings on their website.
You must obtain approval for this programme of study from the Exchange Coordinator in your subject area. (Joint honours students must receive approval from the Exchange Coordinators in both subject areas.)
Any course changes made whilst on exchange must be approved by your Exchange Coordinator. Please ensure that you keep in regular contact with your School (or Schools for joint Honours students) during your year abroad and advise them of your email and mailing addresses.
All students undertaking an Erasmus exchange (or work placement funded by Erasmus) must complete an Erasmus grant contract before departure and submit a signed copy to Edinburgh Global at the University of Edinburgh.
