Edinburgh Global is offering competitive grants in collaboration with Cornell University, for the second year running.  Apply for funding to explore potential research collaborations with colleagues at Cornell.

These seed grants have been established to bring faculty from partner institutions together to develop joint projects that will strengthen Edinburgh and Cornell’s strategic priorities and develop multidisciplinary cutting-edge research and curriculum to create academic and societal impact.

Up to five (5) research proposals will be funded.  Each successful proposal may receive up to $5,000/£4,000 from each university for a total of $10,000/£8,000.

Duration

Funding is available from 1 January 2024 until 31 December 2024.

About the Edinburgh-Cornell partnership

Cornell University (Cornell) and the University of Edinburgh (Edinburgh) have identified each other as strategic partners to foster deep collaborations in research and education, as part of Cornell’s Global Hubs initiative. The Cornell-Edinburgh Global Strategic Collaboration Awards (GSCA) have been established to facilitate and support joint initiatives that will strengthen the two universities’ strategic priorities.  The creation of the Cornell-Edinburgh seed fund follows the signing of a cooperation agreement in August 2022.
