Commonwealth Scholar secures European Young Author Award and Project Funding

The MSc in Global eHealth team are delighted to share the news that one of their Commonwealth scholarship students, Dr Leckraj Amal Bholah has successfully published his first academic paper on eHealth.

The paper has been approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Academia for the ITU Kaleidoscope 2015: Trust in the Information Society and was presented at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain on 10 December 2015.

Based in Mauritius, an island off the east coast of Africa, Dr Bholah was also been nominated for the Young Author Recognition Award at the conference. The paper will further be published in IEEE Xplore digital library.

To further add to the list of 2015 accolades, Dr Bholah won 3rd prize for the Turbine Business Idea Competition. It was the first edition of the Turbine Incubator which works in collaboration with STING Business Incubator Sweden. Part of the prize includes personal business coaching from February 2016 with access to capital for project development.
