Yemen: the Art of Peacemaking in 21st Century Conflict Environment

The Global Health Academy are delighted to be promoting this event:

The newly established Edinburgh PeaceTech, initiated by a collaboration between Edinburgh University (Political Settlements Research Programme, School of Law and School of Informatics and Information Services), and Beyond Borders, a Scottish-based peacebuilding organisation, is very pleased to invite you to its inaugural event.

About the event

United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen and veteran peacemaker Martin Griffiths talks to the BBC’s Chief International correspondent Lyse Doucet, about the conflict in Yemen and how to conduct mediation in a world of disorder. Martin Griffiths will also reflect upon the importance of inclusivity, and in particular on the role of women in peace building, and how new digital tools can help to facilitate inclusion.

Edinburgh PeaceTech (organisers) is a new Scottish initiative of University of Edinburgh and Beyond Borders, currently involved in partnership with Yemeni civil society actors and a range of digital businesses, to provide new digital tools and a new digital platform to promote inclusive peacemaking.

This event is free, but registration is required, with tickets to be presented at the door, at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/yemen-the-art-of-peacemaking-in-21st-century-conflict-environment-tickets-60113980534
