Dr Morgera to speak at 2012 World Conservation Congress

Dr Elisa Morgera has been invited to speak at the 2012 World Conservation Congress, being held from 6 to 15 September 2012 in Jeju, Republic of Korea.

The World Conservation Congress is the world’s largest conservation event: held every four years, it gathers leaders from government, the public sector, non-governmental organisations, business, UN agencies and social organisations to discuss cutting-edge thinking and practice, and find solutions for the world’s most pressing environment and development issues.

Dr Morgera will contribute to two all-day conservation campuses: “Law, good governance and climate change adaptation”, on 7 September and “Law and governance for REDD+: participation and benefit-sharing”, on 8 September 2012. Both knowledge-transfer events are organized by the IUCN Environmental Law Centre.

Dr Morgera is the director of the LLM Programme in Global Environment and Climate Change Law.
