April GESA Doctoral Network meeting

We’re doing something a little bit different for this month’s GESA Doctoral Network.

Prof Catherine Lyall, Research Convener and Professor of Science and Public Policy at STIS, will be leading a workshop about interdisciplinary research and how to get the best out of interdisciplinary PhD supervision.

Catherine is the co-author of “Interdisciplinary Research Journeys - Practical Strategies for Capturing Creativity” and is currently working with the Institute for Academic Development to design some training for supervisors of interdisciplinary PhDs.

This will be a great opportunity both to learn about and share your experiences of interdisciplinary research supervision from the student perspective. Be warned - this session may involve Lego!

Please join us on Friday 10th April 4-6pm, 6th Floor Common Room, Chrystal Macmillan Building. Please sign up so we can arrange refreshments
