GESA Doctoral Network announced
GESA have announced the creation of their new Global Environment and Society Doctoral Network.
The Doctoral Network aims to create a community of PhD students working on environment & society-related projects across the University - and enhance the intellectual richness of their Edinburgh experience and their research.
The Network is open to Ph.D. students, their supervisors, GESA-related faculty, as well as other interested members of the other Global Academies and the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation. Certain activities will also be open to MSc/LLM students.
Benefits for students
- Participate in ‘journal-club meetings’: academic/social monthly meetings on a Friday late afternoon, concluded with pizza and refreshments.
- Participate in the annual GESA Research Day with external speakers and more networking opportunities
- Access to the online core course on Global Environmental Challenges to facilitate inter-disciplinary dialogue in the Network and for future research opportunities
- Access to transkills training for doctoral students.
