Why did you decide to fundraise for your chosen cause?
My daughter, Julie, died from motor neuron disease (MND) at age of 59. There was only five months from her diagnosis to her passing. Nobody should have to watch their child go through that.
How did you raise money?
I had been making face masks for health workers during the COVID because of PPE shortages. As things got better in the healthcare sector, and people wanted to start going out again, I carried on making masks for family and friends, asking for small donations in aid of the Euan MacDonald Centre.
If an opportunity presents itself, don’t be afraid to use it to raise money. No matter how small the amount is, it always helps regardless.
