We were delighted to welcome Her Majesty The Queen and The Princess Royal to our Edinburgh Climate Change Institute and showcase our tremendous work and commitment to reducing the impacts of climate change. The visit coincided with the launch of the Edinburgh Earth Initiative project that will boost global leadership on the adaption to and mitigation of climate change.
Our research is supported through three research institutes. We also host national and international centres and have established research links on every continent.

We are one of the largest and most successful interdisciplinary groupings of geographers and geoscientists in the UK, addressing global challenges to secure a more socially-just and environmentally sustainable world.
